Award-winning online training provider Good e-Learning now offers a fully accredited course for ‘ITIL 4 Managing Professional (MP) Transition’, a qualification that allows ITIL V3 practitioners to transition to ITIL 4 with just a single exam.

The announcement of ITIL 4 at the 2017 itSMF USA Fusion conference sent ripples through the world of business and IT. The framework had long set the standard in IT Service Management (ITSM), and while a fair few criticisms had arisen over the years, AXELOS quickly addressed them as it revealed the scope of the changes.

However, the number of differences between ITIL V3 and the new ITIL 4 meant that older qualifications would not simply be updated automatically. This created a problem for practitioners: while their understanding of ITIL’s tools and best practices were still highly relevant, the new insight of ITIL 4 would surely be in high demand.

To save users from having to restart their training from scratch in order to benefit from the new framework, AXELOS announced that a transitional course would be included in the ITIL 4 certification path. This would let sufficiently qualified ITIL V3 practitioners sidestep into the new framework, updating their knowledge quickly and efficiently.

The ITIL Managing Professional (MP) Transition course covers several ITIL 4 modules, including:

  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • ITIL Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support
  • ITIL Specialist: Drive Stakeholder Value
  • ITIL Specialist: High Velocity IT
  • ITIL Strategist: Direct, Plan and Improve

On passing the exam, students will immediately receive the title of ‘Managing Professional’. They will then be just one successful exam away from reaching the rank of ‘ITIL Expert’.

In order to qualify for the ITIL MPT exam, a candidate must either hold the rank of ‘ITIL V3 Expert’ or a minimum of 17 ITIL credits.

Good e-Learning’s world-class portfolio now covers the full certification paths for both ITIL V3 and ITIL 4. The company’s mixture of expertly crafted online training assets, full digital accessibility, and sterling customer support has made it a leader in the world of corporate training, whether for individuals, teams, or entire companies.
